Iran documentary to compete in US festival

‘Weavers of dream’ documentary will be shown in Sunrise 45 Film Festival, 2017, in the US.

The movie, directed by Seyed Mohammad Sadiq Jafari, has been produced by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), and will be shown in the competition section of the festival.

The documentary depicts the story of a few blind people, who devise a Braille plan for weaving a carpet, and enjoy the happy moments of their lives.

The first edition of Sunrise 45 Film Festival will be held in the US city of Alpena, August 18-20, 2017.

The movie was recently picked by the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival of India (CICFF) as its July-August selected movie.

CICFF is an official member of the British Film Institute, in London, and of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, in New York.
